Duke of Edinburgh
We welcome Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) bookings. All groups must be accompanied by adult staff.
Students have access to two/three portable toilets and a cold-water tap.
For smaller groups, the rally field may be shared with other DofE groups. Please let us know if this is a problem.
We also have pre-pitched tents available for staff; please email us to check availability. See our price list for details.

DofE Group Rules and Site Expectations
To ensure the safety of your students, the comfort of our other campers and the upkeep of our land, please ensure that all students are fully briefed on and adhere to the following rules before arriving.
Noise and Curfews
-
Quiet Hours: Strict quiet hours apply between 10 pm and 7 am. All participants must be inside their tents by 10 pm.
-
Early Risers: Groups packing up early in the morning must keep voices to a whisper and handle their kit quietly to respect our neighbours.
Waste and Respect for the Land (Leave No Trace)
-
Litter: Every piece of rubbish must be collected. Groups must carry out a litter sweep of their area before checking out.
-
Gates: All gates must be left exactly as they were found.
Group Conduct and Boundaries
-
Site Limits: Students must stay within the designated DofE rally field and must not wander into private farm areas, machinery sheds or campsite facilities.
-
Students must enter through the gate from the trig point field rather than walking through the private farm area.
Staff and Vehicle Access
-
Please use the main campsite entrance, continue up the driveway and turn right at the green building into the rally field.
-
Site Speed Limit: We operate a strict speed limit of 5 mph along the driveway. Please drive with extreme caution, as young children frequently cross the driveway to access the campsite facilities.
-
Drop-offs: Parents must not drop off or collect their children at the campsite entrance.
Important: Local Community and Litter
Following a recent complaint from local residents, it is vital that students maintain strict Leave No Trace standards, not just in our field but also throughout their onward journey.
Please brief all groups that no rubbish must be left in the surrounding woods or on public footpaths. All snack wrappers, drinks bottles and lunch waste must be packed into their bags and taken home.
Our continued relationship with local landowners depends on this. Please ensure that your groups respect the local community and surrounding area.
Please email us to check availability. We will confirm the date and ask you to complete the booking form.
